Jinhoo (Jake) Kim is currently a student at Tufts University. His passion for Go began in fourth grade, when he became fascinated by its endless possibilities and the almost “mind-reading” connections between players. After moving to La Jolla, California, he began to see Go as more than a game—recognizing its potential to support cognitive health, strengthen communities, and foster meaningful connections across generations. Inspired by this vision, he founded Go For A Better World in 2022 while attending The Bishop’s School, building the organization around three pillars: advocacy, teaching, and curriculum development.

As Founder & President, Jake continues to lead Go For A Better World, pursuing a range of initiatives across Korea and the United States. His activities include social innovation initiatives, community festivals, engagement with global Go networks, and partnerships with senior living communities. The Go Club at The Bishop’s School continues as a chapter of the organization under a new generation of student leadership. Alongside these efforts, he continues to explore Go’s potential contributions to cognitive health, emotional well-being, and intergenerational connection.

His vision remains focused on spreading the goodness of Go in everyday life, building connected communities, and empowering generations through lifelong learning, cognitive well-being, and shared experiences.
